17P
 What is 17P?

17P Alpha Hydroxyprogesterone Caproate is not a new drug- it is a form of the hormone progesterone which is found naturally in the body.  17P has been used in the past for treating such problems as infertility and abnormal bleeding.  Research has shown 17P to be effective in reducing the incidence of premature births for women who have previously experienced a preterm delivery.

17P Therapy must be prescribed by a physician, and the compound medication is not readily available at the local pharmacy.  Biomedical Systems works closely with the patient and the pharmacist to ensure that the 17P medication is delivered directly to patient and in a timely manner.

Why a 17P/PTL Program?

17P/PTL program is a comprehensive clinical and educational program, provided with a patient-friendly approach for women who have a history of preterm birth or multiple miscarriages.
