Biomedical System has announced the appointment of Steven De Hertefelt to the position of Business Development Director, Europe. Mr. De Hertefelt brings a broad range of international sales experience to Biomedical Systems having spent the past five years in the medical device field with Global Pharmaceutical Solutions, a division of Terumo.

“We are pleased to have Steven join our outstanding team in the Brussels office,” said Bill DiGiacobbe, VP Business Development, Biomedical Systems. “He has a passion to educate sponsors on the innovative centralized diagnostic services Biomedical Systems has to offer for Cardiac Safety and Pulmonary Function.” In addition to providing Sponsors with a point of contact for proposals, RFIs, and CDAs, Mr. De Hertefelt will provide scientific, regulatory and inter‐cultural expertise to the wide range of pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, and medical device companies as well as contract research organizations and clinical pharmacology units located in his territory. Mr. De Hertefelt has a Masters in Translation and a Masters in Interpreting for English‐Dutch‐Spanish from Erasmushogeschool Brussel ‐ Department Applied Linguistics. Mr. De Hertefelt, who also speaks fluent French, will work from Biomedical Systems’ Brussels, Belgium office.
